What are UK driving conviction codes?

The UK government assigns a conviction code to each motoring offence. These codes appear on your driving record and may come with penalty points.

  • Penalty points stay on your record for 4 to 11 years, depending on the offence.
  • You can check your licence and penalty points at any time on the official GOV.UK website.
