We started Marshmallow when we found out how unfair insurance prices are for people who move to the UK. Purely because traditional insurers haven’t made any effort to price them properly.

So we decided to do what no one else was doing. We built our own technology, and developed pricing and fraud models to cater to their unique experiences.

Since then, we’ve helped millions of UK newcomers get a fairer deal on their car insurance. But through talking to our customers, we realised that car insurance is just the tip of the iceberg.

People who move countries are denied access to so many basic financial services, so we set our sights on building something much bigger.

We’re now building a huge technology company that makes it easier to move countries. Since launching in 2018 we’ve closed multiple funding rounds, turned profitable, and launched two other product lines - home insurance and car finance - two of our customer’s most requested products.

But we’re only just getting started. Our goal is to 10x our impact from here. We want to build one of the largest fintech companies in the world by scaling our existing products and building new ones.
